چکیده
Background: In non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), immunotherapy is a treatment option in patients without targetable mutations second and later lines. Nevertheless, there no validated test that can predict response.
Material Methods: Our study aimed to investigate the effect of radiotherapy (RT) on survival with NSCLC receiving after first-line chemotherapy. Twenty-five diagnosed received at least one previous chemotherapy line were included our study.
 Results: The median age was 61.7 (26.6-81.2) years. 19 (76%) male. 11 (44%) had second-line 14 (66%) ≥3 Patients 5 cycles (1-27) immunotherapy. RT interval 6.4 months (1.0-11.8). Partial response observed 12 patients, stable disease 8 progression 1 patient, hyperprogression 4 patients. Median progression-free (PFS) 4.4 (95% CI; 3.2-5.6), overall (OS) 16.4 5.6-27.3). (56%) RT. administered before immunotherapy, two bones during who statistically longer PFS (4.9 vs 3.9 months, p=0.012) OS (18.7 7.3 p=0.023) comparing those
Conclusions: findings showed significantly improved pointing may have an influential role response.

Immunotherapy for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and more than 80% of cases are of non-small cell lung cancer. Although chemotherapy and molecularly targeted therapy may provide some benefit, there is a need for newer therapies for the treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC. Immunotherapy aims to augment the recognition of cancer as foreign, to stimulate immune respons...

Advances in the understanding of the role of the immune system in tumor immunosurveillance have resulted in the recognition that tumors can evade immune destruction via the dysregulation of co-inhibitory or checkpoint signals. This has led to the development of a generation immunotherapeutic agents targeting the immune checkpoint pathway. Recent early phase studies of immune checkpoint modulato...
متن کاملThe role of radiotherapy in non-small-cell lung cancer.
Most patients who receive a diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have advanced disease and are not curable with surgery. Developments in the technology of radiation therapy (RT) have contributed to the broad utility of this treatment modality in both a curative and palliative capacity. Many patients at all stages, including those who are medically inoperable, may benefit from RT. Loc...
